365 Days of Photos – Day 30

TRE = Trinity Railway Express

365 Days of Photos – Day 29

This farm caught my eye this morning. The sun was hitting it just right! So yes indeed, I did a quick detour and took a few pictures before moving on up the highway!

I got very excited when I noticed the horses heading toward the barn for breakfast!

Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me…so these photos were taken with my iPhone 5s

365 Days of Photos – Day 28

The rosemary bush in my front yard is blooming.

The flamingo seems very happy among the blooms!

365 Days of Photos – Day 27

On the town square, across the street from the court house, in Brownfield Texas, I noticed this little shoe shine stand.

365 Days of Photos – Day 26

We travelled to Ohio Sunday for my Great Aunt’s funeral. We were only there for 24 hours and experienced snow for 20 of those hours!

The snow was quite beautiful and we were quite cold. I didn’t have much time to take pictures and I didn’t have my good camera with me (had to use iPhone 5s) but I couldn’t resist snapping a few quick shots since I rarely get the opportunity to take snow pictures.

It truly was beautiful…but I can honestly say I am thrilled to be back in Texas where the temperatures were near 70 (F) when our plane touched down.

365 Days of Photos – Day 25

I stopped and took pictures of several abandon houses yesterday. This house looked like it was a very nice house at one time. It now sits empty.

Yesterday Helen, from HHC Blog, said after taking a walk with her husband she told him she had to take some pictures for Cee. I laughed because I am often looking for photos to take for Cee’s challenges!! The photos of abandon homes are a direct result of Cee’s challenges. A few months ago one of the challenges was to photograph abandon buildings. Once I started looking for them I haven’t stopped….I now find myself wondering around abandon buildings taking photos of lost dreams.

365 Days of Photos – Day 24

Apparently the small town of Brownfield Texas once had 2 movie theaters and one drive-in. Sadly, like many small towns across the United States, those days are long gone.

I love the art work above the marquee.

It looks like this theater has served many purposes throughout its time.
