365 Days of Photos – Day 286

I am in Dayton Ohio this weekend – my hometown.

This morning my friend Corey and I toured two historic cemeteries. Both have headstones dating back to the early 1800 and both are the final resting places for famous Daytonians like Erma Bombeck and The Wright Brothers.

I of course didn’t take pictures of the famous headstones…

I love old cemeteries too (so shocking we have something in common -haha), but I would have had to take a picture of Erma Bombecks tombstone. One of my favorite authors.

I actually did take a photo of Erma’s!!
It’s the only famous one I took (still shocked we may have that in common?!!!)
Her headstone is a 29,000 pound rock that her husband had delivered from Arizona.
But it doesn’t have any inscription….I’ll send you the picture via messenger….
It just wasn’t that good of a picture 🙂

The info I read said he wanted a piece of Arizona with her. But no explanation of why no inscription.
There is a sign pointing to it saying it is her site
